Any new recs for Kauai?

DH and I are leaving for Kauai in just a few very short weeks. I've taken a look at all the existing threads. Anyone have anything new/recent to add?

We know we're going to fly ultralights with Birds in Paradise, attend the Smith Family Luau, and kayak somewhere yet to be determined. We're also going to take a catamaran voyage from the North Shore to view the Na Pali coast. We're sure to do lots of hiking, and would like to find the lava pools and Queen's Bath. I'm sure we'll eat at least a couple of meals at the Blossoming Lotus.

I think we have all the guidebooks: Frommer's, Fodor's, Kauai Revealed, and Kauai Underground, but nothing beats personal recommendations. I'm all ears!

I am so envious you are going to Kaua'i!!!! Mom and I went last fall and had a fantastic time.

I had always wanted to learn to surf and had a great time-- I even stood up on the board a few times!
