Hi jazzcat!
I'm not Jewel but I was pretty curious myself as to what she did with the "big uns."
Sorry, folks, sometimes my mouth gets the best of me! That's just the only way I could think of to describe those things! I usually buy boneless/skinless chicken breasts in bulk 10 lb bags (thank you FoodSaver!) from our local Albertson's Butcher Counter, and most of the time I pull out your average chicken breasts. Every once in awhile I'll pull out this Mutant Ninja thing that makes me wonder if they slaughtered the Dolly Parton Circus Chicken by mistake! Heavens...
But I made CL's Honey-Pecan Crusted Chicken Breasts last night and we loved them! We have never been big mustard fans, but we like honey mustard. Figured I'd give it a try! Mixing the honey, mustard, paprika and garlic powder together, brushing it on the chicken breasts (which I pounded out a bit. Ouch!) then dredging in the cornflake crumb/chopped pecan mixture. Served it with homey mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, and DH was in Heaven! He suggested a bit of cayenne pepper in the honey mixture next time, or maybe more paprika, but the honey and the mustard tastes were both very subtle, and the nuts in the breading were to die for. I recommend this one! I don't have it in front of me, but I found it on CL's recipe search.
We'll make those again, even with NORMAL chicken breasts!!![]()

I had to chuckle at this post as I missed the one where Jewel mentioned the D cup breasts. I know exactly what she means because I have run into the same situation. I ususally make chicken nuggets out of those for the kids.
I ususally do not buy chicken breasts from Costco because I hate having that much around, but a couple of weeks ago I bought some there. I will now ALWAYS buy them there! They were all uniform in size, all had that "rib meat" (or extra hanging meat) removed and the fat was off as well. They were beautiful breasts, if there is such a thing on a chicken. At $2.59/lb, a great price too. A local store charges over $4.00/lb for the same quality.
LOL!!! Jewel, you never cease to crack me up!!!Originally posted by Jewel
