That is funny! I'm lucky - my dog will lay in bed until I'm good and ready to take her out. If I sleep late she might toss and turn and stare at me a little, her way of saying, "C'mon, it's time." We have a good routine.

Bailey is very patient in the mornings and gets up when we do but it's dinner time where he gets confused. He starts looking at us like - hey, it's dinner time, where is it? But he never minds accepting it an hour early in the spring.

Too funny! I fed my dog this morning about 45 minutes late (old time) / 15 minutes early (new time), depending on how you want to look at it. He was lying patiently and would have waited longer, but I figured I'd cut him some slack . Starting tonight, I'll feed him at his usual times, based on the changed time.

Neither do my cats. They were raucous about an hour earlier than usual. Fortunately, DH usually feeds them so they were pouncing on him and not me.

My body doesn't celebrate daylight savings time. So, I was exhausted last night as I didn't sleep well the night before and I'd skied 4 1/2 hours on Saturday so I was propping my eyelids open until 10 pm (old time) so I'd sleep until a reasonable hour at least. I woke up this morning at 6:35 (new time). I was actually quite pleased with that. Milo would have happily just purred on top of me for hours I'm sure.

My 6 year old was up at 5 (new time). My 3 year old slept until 6 (new time). I stayed up to watch the football game so didn't get to bed until after 1 (old time).

All 3 boys were relatively patient this morning -- except for the licking! I hate it when they lick themselves in the morning! One of the boys' tongue kinda clicks when he licks, so I always know who's doing it!

I have always been amazed to note how the horses behave as the time changes. They're usually fed at 6pm though this past Friday & Saturday they arrived at the barn at 5pm. During the spring we start to move their feeding back since we move it forward so they don't eat in the dark in the winter and then don't eat in the heat of the day in the summer. They don't mind the shift for the second feeding but don't get the shift for the morning feed...4 long faces peering over the fence at the house for some sign of life...

The dog slept in but the 2 yr old didn't. In fact, the dog made it known she was being rudely disturbed when the 2 yr old got up.
