    Help - Warming Ham in Crockpot

    I always have the dilemma of not having enough oven space. I have a fully-cooked spiral ham that needs warmed and I was wondering if I could use my crockpot without drying out the ham? Anyone have any good or bad experience with this?

    I've never done it but found this recipe and it sounds like it would work. I don't think you'd really need all that time. Other recipes called for 3-4 hours on high.

    Crockpot Baked Ham

    Ingredients:

    * (1) 4 pound precooked ham, wrapped in foil
    * 1/2 cup of water

    Directions:

    1. Cook the ham in the crockpot for 1 1/2 hours on high.
    2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 7 1/2 hours.

    Slow Cooker Method
    Hams emerge very moist and tender from the slow cooker. Make sure that the ham will fit into your slow cooker. Place the ham in the foil and then the appliance and add the water half way. and cook on Low for 8 hours.

    Thanks! I'm going to give it a try. Happy T-Day!
