    thyme sprig???

What is a sprig of thyme?
I am getting ready to make a recipe that calls for 5 sprigs of fresh thyme and I am clueless!! I have it growing in my herb garden but I even wonder if I have that much? I have just two little branches (?) left. I'm not usually so picky about amounts but i don't have any idea! Thanks so much for helping!

A sprig is about a 3 inch little branch.

If you don't have enough you can usually get it in the produce section of the grocery store.

When in doubt, check the dictionary.

sprig: a small spray of some plant including it's leaves and a flower.

    A sprig: a branch approx. 3" long, I'd say.
