    Whole Picnic Pork Roast

Looking through the grocery store ads this week, one local store has "whole picnic pork roast" on sale for 99 cents a pound. I'm familiar with many cuts of meat, but I'm not sure if this is a "good" pork roast or not. Boston Butt or a loin roast is what I typically buy, and I know the value of both. Can anyone tell me what this is and what I could do with it? (If nothing else, would this be a good crockpot option?)

It's part of the leg and the shoulder which is where the Boston Butt comes from so pulled pork or smoked pork would be good options. It is fairly high in fat so depending on the size of the roast and your crockpot it may not be a good way to cook it...
