Pistachio crusted Lamb substitute

The recipie in the latest issue for Pistachio crusted Lamb looks to die for but my husband doesn't like lamb. Can beef be substituted for Lamb?

I can't answer your question, but thought I'd throw one on of my own... DH is majorly allergic to pistachios--any substitutes?

Mightyh - I substituted pine nuts, and it wroked perfectly.

AnnS - It would probably worked pretty well with beef, but it would have to be a mignon type of cut (kind of fatty with not too many bones.
