    making sandwiches ahead of time

How far in advance can I make sandwiches without the bread getting icky? My party is at 11am and I was thinking of putting together the sandwiches the night before. There will be chicken salad, turkey, and pbj sandwiches.

I would do it that morning. Even pb&j gets a bit weird if it sits for a while, even though it's still perfectly safe to eat.

While pb&j for me is fine made a day ahead of time (do it regularly for ski trips) anything else I think would be questionable. I'd go with the morning of at the earliest.

I eat well-marinated pb&js sometimes, too, but I just wouldn't serve them to guests! The edges get dry and the bread shrinks.

Would you do wraps? Those might hold up longer

Eek! I highly disagree. Soggy flour tortillas are just wrong.
