    What's cooking: Week of 10/2/11

I have not posted much lately. I have been really busy with school starting but have gotten much better with my menu planning. I have been planning from Sunday until Wednesday because we usually go out on Friday and Saturday and I feel like we always get talked into going out at least one random weekday to watch sports or something. Here is our menu plan:

Sunday-Southwestern Turkey Burgers, CL 9/10. Garlic Cottage Fries, RR 2/09.
Monday- Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, Ellie Krieger. Rosemary Beer Bread adapted from Real Simple.
    Tuesday- Chicken Fajitas, CL 1/11.
Wednesday- Linguine with Spicy Shrimp, CL 6/10 with steamed broccoli.

    Hi Heather,

Really good sounding line up you have there. Hope you are leaving Thurday open for the Homecoming Cooking Game.

Love this thread! Heather, I'm glad that you're back - I always like your posts

My week is a little weird - I'm not doing a ton of cooking because I'm 25 weeks pregnant and TIRED, and majorly hurt my fingers in a cooking accident two weeks ago - but I'm still cooking a little

Sunday: Orecchiette with scallion green sauce (F&W)
    Monday: Some kind of leftovers
Tuesay: Pot luck @ my daughter's school (we're bringing chocolate chip cookies from the cookbook Baked)
Wednesday: Mac and cheese (Joy of cooking)
Thursday: Butternut Squash Risotto (Giada from FN)
    Friday: Sushi takeout (always!)
Saturday night: Break fast for Yom Kippur - I'm bringing noodle kugel (from Rosie's cookbook)
