    I would be happy to.

My DD got into Notre Dame and accepted on Monday!!!!

I also finished a Family Cookbook I have been working on for over a year and sent it to publishing yesterday.

My Giants made it to the Super Bowl, who would have guessed!

It has been a happy week for us.

I cooked for two new customers this week so that was nice. They are also very nice people so double nice.

Just got off the phone with a nice woman who wants to buy my service as a gift. So should fill a day in next week with work!

I made magic cookie bars just now so ready for the weekend. This helped me clean some things from the pantry too!

I have windows and the sliding glass door open to let in some fresh air. It's sunny too!

This has been a pretty good week.

Great idea! I'm tired of the grumpy threads (although they are good when you're in the mood to vent)

We bought a new car this week! After months of research and thinking about it. Very fun.

I just returned from a trip to London. Very successful work event. More importantly, a fun weekend with a GF and her new husband (who I now adore)

Planning a vacation for March -- that's always something to look forward to! Haven't been on a real vaca for more than a year!

We're in the middle of a blizzard here so work is closed but the local outdoor shop is open so I went and bought snowshoes and just did my first snowshoe ever. So fun!

I get to spend the rest of the day snuggling with my cat and hopefully getting in a nap.

Just back from the Coumadin Clinic and my numbers are GOOD again.... I have been able to have a little bit of wine (A VERY GOOD THING!). Sly has been a sweetheart this week and the sun is shining. All wonderful things!

We are going to get some of Robin's snow storm here beginning after midnight...first significant snow of the winter (in fact almost the first feel of winter!).
My 4 year old granddaughter is going to come for a sleepover tomorrow night.
I am going to head home from work early in about 1/2 an hour...and finish the day doing whatever I feel like doing.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

I love hearing all the good stuff that is happening! The only thing new that I have to report is that I've stuck with Weight Watchers almost a whole week, and that is HUGE for me!

I continue to be grateful for decent health, my wonderful husband, 2 sweet goldens and children who are not living with me! And for a friendly neighborhood, and a church family that I love!

I'm going to add homemade chicken and veggie soup in the freezer which I pulled out, thawed and added orzo to for lunch. Yum!

Wow, 5 years?!?!?! Time freaking flies. So happy for you!

Here's me on my morning snowshoe.

And my new snowshoes. Note, this is in an area protected by a tree so not true depth.

Congrats, Ana, on the five years!

My nice thing: three week anniversary of adopting our new cat. Will need to post her photo. Loving her! She is such a great lap kitty.

Woohoo! This is great news, indeed! I still remember the day you called me. It was nice to talk to you, but not for that reason. So glad you're doing so well! It's almost 10 for me! (That's another piece of good news!)

Robyn, you look so happy to be out in that cold, wet stuff! Brrr! I'm sure I liked it at some point...

    Wonderful news!!!

The best news at our house is that DD's Crohn's disease is beginning to respond to treatment. She was diagnosed in September and was on an oral chemo med and high doses of steroids for several months with no change. She just had her second Remicade infusion and her labs are already improving. She is back in school half days.

I have been looking for a good doctor for two years now..My Doctor's contract was not renewed and it literally killed a lot of us, he was so good. I think I may have found one. Was very happy with my office visit, yesterday. Finally!

I love this upbeat thread because it's so easy to get caught up in the downside of life.

I am feeling about 85% human after two weeks of debilitating allergy/sinus issues.

Hubby's basal cell surgery went really well and the stitches come out next week.

It's been raining almost all day and will be tomorrow which is awesome because we are still officially in a drought stage.

    It's been a great week!

My son is fully potty trained

Wallycat- Wonderful news!! Celebrate! We're going to our daughter's and family in Bonn, Germany in June with friends. The friends are her gymnastics coaches from a gajillion years ago. When we leave there we are going to Paris! WOOHOO! Can't wait!

My very good friend[see above] got a good report on her lymphoma. Thank you.

That is fantastic, Ana!! Really wonderful news

Robyn, I'm totally envious of being snowed in!! Though I have to admit those weren't quite what I was picturing when you said you bought snow shoes .

Bummer that we still haven't gotten winter here but it is a beautiful bright blue day in the mid 60s, so it's not too much to complain about.
Yesterday I was walking home from work around 3:00 (leaving work before 3:00 and having a job where I get to decide to do that are good in and of themselves) and strolling through Japan Town, where all the cherry trees are in full bloom. Beautiful, but beyond that is the cloud of sweet cherry fragrance as you stroll down the sidewalk.
I went grocery shopping and then walked down to a café and read my book for an hour before heading home. Made for a luxuriously long Friday evening of winding.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments on photos. Snow and being outside in it really makes me feel alive and refreshes my soul.

By the time the storm was done we ended up with about 20 inches depending on where you're at. I am not coaching today (giving myself a chance to heal more after a fall on a run earlier this week when a stray dog was chasing me) so I got to run with my run group for the only time from December-March. So fun! It was slow going at times and I had to walk some of the more treacherous parts of the trail but good times.

And this afternoon I get to meet my running coach/dear friend and get her nearly-2 year old son on skis for the first time in a local park. I'm so stinking excited. And I feel so blessed that my friends will allow me to share these moments with their children. Just a couple of weeks ago I met another friend at Copper Mountain and helped her with her 4 year old son who was having some nerves getting back on skis for the first time this season.

Robyn - how could you live in CO & never showshoed??! Isn't it a blast? We have had big ol hiking ones for years, but just bought running snowshoes. I've done a few races & it's so much fun. I'm sure there are a lot of them in CO, so you should check one out. I know, it cuts into ski time (which is probably why you haven't done it before!), but a nice change.

Wishing for some of your snow up here :-(

Wallycat - Huge congrats! What a fantastic milestone!!

We had 2, 7 year old sibling golden retrievers at the shelter. The golden rescue group wouldn't take them because of their age and they needed to be adopted as a pair because they were bonded. They had meetings with several potential adopters, but no one wants an older golden because they're prone to health issues as they age, let alone two. Well, last week an amazing couple came in and adopted them.

Exactly like you said, too busy skiing. I've wanted to buy a pair for awhile but just never got around to it. Friday was perfect and since work got closed but the outdoor store a mile away didn't so I took it as a sign.
