    Happy Valentine's Day Any Plans?

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! For the first time ever (after 38 years) we are going out tonight...to the show to see The Artist...maybe, depending on crowds we'll stop for something to snack on afterwards...we usually just stay home because of the crowds.

    Once again...Happy Valentines Day!

I believe I am staying home and sending my husband to do the kindergarten party in my place.

Pam, enjoy your first night out, what a record!! Maybe we should go see a movie or bring one home!

Christy, wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall @school? Hope you are feeling better soon!

We haven't made any plans; we always seem disappointed on VDay, too many people going out and the restaurants packed. Not sure what we are doing but I received my KA SMixer and DH is getting a GC for a Massage, win-win!
I just may bake and cook for our dinner tonight. Sure hope so!

We don't go out, especially when Valentine's Day is a weeknight. My tradition has been dinner at home with homemade heart shaped pizza for the boys. With one off to college, we are getting close to making plans without them.

Pam, enjoy the movie -- let us know what you think.

Christy, hope you are better soon. We are already in heavy spring allergies here (my issue) but with little ones, isn't it lovely that you get to build your immune system too?

Susan, hope you get a chance to test out that mixer. Oooh, that massage sounds nice too!

We are also staying in and cooking which is always less expensive and almost always better! :-)

I've got a BBQ bacon wrapped meatloaf in the fridge ready to put in the oven.

We're staying home, as well -- we went to a movie on Sunday -- The Descendents. The movie was just ok, but we were hungry for sitting on a beach, and since the movie took place in Hawaii, we got that itch scratched!

Tonight, we're having breakfast for dinner -- waffles and maybe cheesy eggs and sausage. Something different for us!

The Artist seems like a fun movie.

We are staying home as usual. Making a new recipe: beet curry! Will serve it with Indian brussel sprouts. Yum!

Then, even though we are owned by a cat, will watch the dog show. The terriers always make us chuckle.

We had our true splurge Valentine's dinner last night, at home--4#s of mussels meuniere with french bread and a bottle of prosecco. Tonight I think herb baked bay scallops. We hate going out to eat on Valentine's--the food is often rushed/subpar, the restaurants are crowded, and you can feel the servers trying to subtly hurry you up so they can turn the table. No thanks.

I hope you enjoy The Artist--we really liked it. We hardly ever go out to the movies (have a huge tv at home) but this one--it wasn't so much that I thought it needed the big screen (as some do) but that in order to get the full experience, this was one that really neeeded to be seen as part of an audience.

Box of Godiva Chocolates on my dresser when I got up this am. Hubby who normally doesn't cook is making Beef Wellington tonight. We'll celebrate this Fri or Sat-the weekend between V'Day and my B'Day-as we have done the last 23 years with dinner out and maybe we'll go see "The Artist"

We aren't going anywhere, our "gutter guys" are still at work and not sure how late they are going to be here. Our neighbors originally asked us to go out with them, glad we didn't accept the invite.
Now looks like the movie is off too!
I am running to the store now to see what looks good, my freezer isn't full.

We don't normally go out, but I have been overwhelmed, we are going to try a restuarant at our Indian Casino that is supposed to have a great new chef and has been hurting for business.

Well, this turned out fairly good despite the fact that I completely FORGOT THE BBQ SAUCE!!! I was quite miffed! Supposed to spread 1/3 C of the sauce on top of the bacon so it gets a glaze. I didn't even THINK of it until we were 3/4 of the way done eating it, as I was thinking, this meatloaf is good, but I sure thought it would be better!!!
