    Absolutely delicious Strawberry Rhuburb Pie

I made this pie from Leite's Culinaria Blog yesterday for dessert for visiting out of town family. It was so good that my husband was practically licking his plate. Very easy to make, if you sub a prepared frozen bottom crust for making your own crust. According to comments on the blog, you can also just omit the crust, and bake it like a crisp.

If you're looking for a kick-a$$ summer dessert with little work, this is it!

Thanks for posting this! I don't make a lot of pies but reading this and looking at the recipe are giving me a serious craving. Will have to try to pick up both strawberries and rhubarb at the farmers' market this weekend.

    Leslie,

THANK YOU! I finally made this this afternoon with rhubarb from a friend's mother and strawberries from the farmers' market. Although I was tempted to make it as described, I decided to go with the crisp as I didn't want to take the extra time.

SO good. It needs to set more but I couldn't wait to try it. Delicious and easy, as you said. Thanks again!
