My 12 year old cat, Lizzie, seems to be entering a new life phase. In the past few months, she has been behaving oddly and the vet has ruled out physical ailments or nutritional imbalances. Her litterbox is in our closet and at night, she gets lost in the closet- the same one she's used several times a day for the past 7 years. There is a motion-activated night light in there. Earlier this week, she got lost in a room, in broad daylight, with the door open.
I tried the Feliway diffuser for a couple of months. It seemed to help, but not so much any more. Since she is part Siamese, she certainly lets us know when she's distressed. Does anyone have some suggestions on making things easier for her? This seems like it's going to be part of our lives-and hers- for a really long time. Any coping tricks would be welcome.
Thanks,
Patt
