I was thinking the same thing Wallycat. Hope everyone is ok.
As far as I know everyone in Colorado from the CLBB is okay. A co-worker of mine saw the lightning strike that started the Flagstaff fire west of Boulder. We've been able to see the aerial drops all day long. The smoke was really bad yesterday but better today. We got a sprinkling of rain this afternoon but need way more.
Laura is down in Colorado Springs near the Waldo fire but is safe. That fire is really frightening and the photos are making me sick.
LaraW is east of me and fine.
The High Park fire has been devastating but fortunately the family that I know through skiing that was on the edge seems to be fine. They have a polo horse farm in La Porte.
Mcgeiger is of galavanting around Australia.
Please pray for rain for us. It's really the only hope to turn this summer around. Fortunately they have banned all open fires and most places have canceled fireworks. Amazingly I've yet to hear one firework set off in my neighborhood so people seem to be recognizing the danger. Just wish smokers would stop putting their butts out car windows.

Just adding my thoughts for safety for all of you there.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could get some of that water from Florida over to you guys to fight those fires. With all of our technology, it is amazing how powerful mother nature is over us. In a perfect world......
Good luck and stay safe.

This reminds me of last year when Texas was frying and burning and the east coast was getting flooded. I wish we could normal it out.
Hope everyone stays safe -- it is really frightening to see such photos, especially after having been near smaller fires.
It's hard to say if they're lit but probably. And I get even more angry when I see the butts on the trails I run. Seriously, we have these awesome open space areas with running/walking trails. Sometimes I see people smoking on them but more often I just see their discarded butts. I want to throttle them in so many ways.

I am not gallavantingokay maybe I am, but....
I have a few friends that have lost houses in the Fort Collins fires. Some friends that were evacuated, but back in their house now in Boulder, and some other friends that expect to be evacuated (and may have been in the last 4 hours) in the Springs fire.
I hate being so far away and wish there was something I could do![]()
