    refried beans for a cookout

    Me again...
I thought I would do something with refried beans in addition to my salad.
Does anyone have a great refried bean side dish they can recommend??

    Thanks in advance!

I liked both of these recipes--two very different takes on refried beans. The second one is technically a dip, but I made it as a side. The only thing I would do differently next time is to top the beans with the cheese instead of stirring it into the mixture.

I was going to make plain old baked beans for our hot dog/kabob roast with friends on the beach tonight. I think some form of refried beans would be much better than baked beans. Thanks for the idea wallycat and the recipes erin. I have about a quart of black beans left from last night that should be perfect for refrieds. I also have a bit of cilantro and lime left and a ton of green onions from the garden.
