    Going to the Yukon!

Yup, it's true! I've always wanted to do it.I'll be there for the last two weeks of August -- a month's time So nervous and excited! I'm going on a hiking tour for about 9 days and am SOOO looking forward to being in the mountains!
My current bugaboo is finding some accommodation. I hadn't realized Whitehorse books up so quickly. Apparently it's a destination for cruise ships from Alaska, and the city is very small. It's been a long time since I adventure-travelled -- what do people do if they can't get a room? I'm sure I'll manage
    Wish me luck

We stopped there enroute to being married in Alaska via motorcycle. Pretty cool.
    Have fun!!

Yes way I can't believe it. I want to get away from the city and all kinds of city things. I don't want to go to a salsa class, hear about a gang-related shooting, complain that the latest "it" restaurant isn't up to snuff... I need a break, and the mountains always do it for me! Plus I'm hoping to see the northern lights if I stay up late.
I've actually wanted to do this for years. And it's happening now
