I'll be away for 8 days and always hate to ask someone to water my outdoor pots (especially when they will be away some of the days too). I was thinking of buying those watering globes, but came across some sites that mention how people make their own out of different bottles. What a great idea! Has anyone tried this? Does it work. I assume for larger pots I should use larger bottles. I'm going to experiment.The trick seems to be to water the pot well, and poke a hole in the cap so that the water slowly can trickle.
