Ah... I get it! Took me a minute.
Hopefully, yours will fizzle out like mine did, and no harm will be done. I wish i could have been a little more foreboding before fizzling out. But, all's well that ends well! (And that's what matters.)

Leslie, me too! First time this has ever happened to us!
Leslie
Chacun à son goût!
Here you are. Rock you, you're a hurricane!
Connie
I've always had mixed feelings about sharing your name with a storm, but have to admit that I am not on the current lists and can't ever remember being on one so it's all academic for me. My older son was early on the list and the next one to be named will be my younger son -- both in the same year and every 6 years now.![]()
I've been one. Enjoy it while you can. Unless you are Camille, Donna or Katrina, fame is fleeting.![]()

No offense Leslies, but please stay away from me.![]()
My 10 year old daughter was excited to be a hurricane until she caused a few deaths and then she had a huge feeling of guilt.
Hey, Les, we're off for 2 weeks on the DE shore tomorrow-- stay away, please!!!
Off to NOAA to find out where they're tracking this one...

Can't you just eat what I put in front of you? Do you have to know what it is?

Les,
Sorry to burst your bubble, but in Hurricane Lingo, you are nothing more than "fish food" i.e. no/little threat to any land mass.OK, so you've got a bit of hot air and will cause a bit of high surf/rip tides. . . .just keep it that way!!!! Love ya anyway!

Apparently, back in 1989, I was a Super Typhoon.

I don't remember it, but then again I was only 6.![]()
Not to split hairs, but this Leslie is on the female side this year, in between Kirk and Michael. Just wait, I'm sure it will find its way onto the male side at some point.
Well, I remember seeing that name on the list before but the storms usually fizzled out before they reached "L". But I do admit I'm rather excited about the fact that she's actually reached Category 1. Would have been fun to have her blow by a little closer, but she IS causing some consternation with the seas here in New England.
