    Fall 2012 Cookbook releases

I have been looking forward to Ina Garten's new release and I know I should not be adding to my collection....

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/new-releases/books/6

Wondering if anyone else is eyeing new cookbooks for the fall or this upcoming holiday season....I haven't followed Smitten Kitchen but Deb's first release is coming soon, too.

I don't see this one on the list, but I have it on pre-order

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/161...ls_o00_s00_i00

The Ina book is tempting me, I'm not sure if I will order or not. I'm sure I don't need it, but I want it.

Yes, I know, my name is Gail, and I have a problem

Looking forward to seeing what others have on their list!

Be sure to let us know what you think about Ina's new book.

I follow Smitten Kitchen, but no desire to buy her book.

How did I forget the BB's own Anna Ginsberg and her upcoming release?! ( I am not being successful at posting the image of her new book-may I ask one of you to post the cover of Anna's upcoming first release?)

Donna Hay has a book coming out this month called Simple Dinners,

How many times have you looked in your fridge or pantry and felt uninspired by what''s there? This cookbook is for you. Whether it''s noodles or rice from the pantry or veggies from the fridge, Donna Hay''s new book simple dinners will show you how to take everyday ingredients and turn them into easy, delicious meals.

Donna has always been of the school that if you have an egg in the fridge, you have a meal on the table. She takes the same approach to pantry items and fresh staples, from bread and pasta to canned beans and couscous. If you have these versatile basics on hand, all you need to do is grab a few fresh things on your way home and you have a quick and flavourful dinner on the table.

Divided into 13 chapters and categorized by a simple ingredient as the starting point, simple dinners also offers handy tips and time-saving hints. There are over 140 new recipes that celebrate everyday kitchen ingredients and give you the confidence to make every weeknight dinner a success.

I love Donna Hay cookbooks, and her magazine. This one actually came out in Australia nearly a year ago.

I am totally intrigued by the Nigella Lawson book.

Does anyone know what the focus of the Nancy Baggett one is?

Thanks for the info about Ina Garten's new one--that is going on a list of presents for my mom. And I am putting Smitten Kitchen on my birthday/Christmas list--love her blog and want to support her efforts. Have an oldie on my list, too: The Big Book of Casseroles.

I just got the notice from Amazon that this shipped. Yay! Cooler weather is here and I am already tapped out on ideas for dinner.

I also ordered the paperback version of David Lebovitz's Ready for Dessert. I've had the hard back on my wishlist for a long, long time, and I understand the paperback has more photos (a plus with desserts especially!)

I have recovered from a 25 year cookbook addiction but that WS book look amazing!

Thank you for pointing it out!

Please don't let this be the start of a relapse.....

Erin, I just bought tickets - $40/person! - for a SK cooking demo and book "reading." It includes her cookbook, which I already preordered.

I have all of Ina's books because I just love her. I am a vegetarian and many recipes I modify for fat and calories, etc, but I just enjoy reading them and they inspire me. I admire and try to emulate her style of simplicity and elegance. I probably liked her last release least among all the others but it was still worth it to me.

I did not need to open this thread. It's gonna cost me.

I have got to go through my shelves and create some space. I don't think I have a place to put a new bookshelf.

ETA: I already have 4 of the one's on Felice's baking books list (Vintage Cakes, Baked Elements, Pie It Forward and Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones). At least I don't need to find room for all of them.

I just got 2 for my bday from my kids. Alex chose the Throwdown with Bobby Flay book (we used to watch it together and since he does a lot of one pot meals on it I did want it) and Sammy chose Nur Ilkin's The Turkish Cookbook, from which I hope to make dinner tomorrow night (Noodle Soup with Meatballs and Chickpeas from the Eastern Anatolian region).

Neither is particularly new however. I seem to be acquiring a lot of Turkish cookbooks lately...

    Happy Birthday, Laura!

I've seen some episodes of Throwdown, but wouldn't have thought of the book for one pot meals. I might take a look at it. Nothing Turkish though. The son who is still at home is the one who is still fixed on a limited kid diet.
