Thread: The Salt Lake Tribune

    The Salt Lake Tribune

Interesting, the largest (?) I think newspaper in Utah, a decidedly conservative and Republican leaning state, endorses none other than....
    Obama for president.

Interesting read, and surprising to see such an establishment not toe party lines and do what is likely expected of them.

I wish our unabashedly Republican at any cost newspaper would wake up. Unfortunately our only choice is to cancel our subscription as there are no other choices in town.
Well, I could subscribe to out of town papers, but for local there is only one.

I saw that, Jennifer. I even shared it on FB. The reasoning was impeccable and very interesting. What a shame that others can't see it.

Thanks for sharing. I think the title says it all.

"Tribune endorsement: Too Many Mitts, Obama has earned another term."

I think this is an interesting read for everyone, clearly lays out with many point by point examples on their issues with Romney.

I like this editorial as well, and not for the endorsement. This is from the Lewisville Texas, which is a Dallas metroplex suburb.

They have lost their way, and spent the last 3 1/2 years putting party before country, sabotaging any and all efforts to undo the long-term damage to our economy that they did in their years of control. They have time after time gone into ridiculous hyperbole, rejecting as "socialist" or "communist" or "Nazi", even ideas proposed and implemented by their own, just because President Obama agreed to it. They screeched about socialism because President Obama agreed with the conservative Heritage Foundation's recommendation to implement "Romneycare" - which by the way was spoken highly of by our own U.S. Representative Michael Burgess, who was for it before he was against it.
If President Obama pronounced that the sky is blue, and the Moon revolves around the Earth, the likes of Eric Cantor and Mitch McConnell would immediately hold a press conference carried live by Fox News to announce that the sky is yellow, always has been, and that Obama wants to destroy America with his radical and controversial ideas about astronomy, no matter how many scientists agree.

Me, too. I found it refreshing to see a devout organization using clear reasoning.
