    Martha Stewart

I have been following Martha on PBS teaching basics. I enjoy her return to slow, relaxed persona. In the early 90s I taped her Martha Stewart Living and played segments for speech therapy sessions with adults with brain injury. When she started up after her prison term, her program seemed more in competition with the daytime shows, fast, mixed entertainment values and I could no longer use them for therapy. I guess I applaud her for surviving but I lost interest. Then of course she cross swords with THE DONALD. Now, her programs are relaxed and deal with Cooking 101. Seems most approachable and even though I can do most anything she demonstrates, she teaches the best way (and I don't feel she makes me feel inferior). And I certainly prefer her to THE DONALD

I caught a few of those episodes, both PBS and the high-octane one.
I agree. I detest "audience" type shows and hate having to sit through fake applause. It is one of the reasons I tape dr. oz--so I can whip through the garbage portions.
After watching martha make mayo, I will never buy store bought again...for the price of a dozen eggs, I can make more mayo than I know what to do with and I always have eggs on hand! Especially considering that if you buy mayo, it is almost $4.00/jar unless you wait for big sales.

So how long does the mayo last in the fridge?

I think she said about a week to 10 days, but since you can make it in the amounts you need, give or take, storage should be that big a deal. Of course, you have to get over the fear of eating raw eggs
