    Security Alert notice

    Dear CL Moderator

For some days now, when I sign on to this website, I get a Security Alert notice that says:

The idenity of this web site or the integrity of this connection cannot be verified.

The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site.

    Do you want to proceed?

Then I have to click YES in order to get on this BB.

Can you tell me what this means and how to get rid of it?

Are you using Internet Explorer? Seems to be an issue with that browser. Here's another current thread regarding the same thing.

Thanks for letting us know, Cookieee. Which browser are you using (i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer), and are you on a Mac or PC?

Any additional information will help us. Thanks!

Cookieee, did you try downloading an additional browser to see if that would alleviate the issue you're having? It's very easy to download another. That way you have the option of what browser to use. I have Firefox and Safari, but prefer using Firefox.

Charley, did you forget who/whom (?) you are talking to? Remember, I don't know that much about computers. That is why I am hoping CL can fix the problem for me, but they seem to have deserted me.

I'm no expert myself, but it really is easy to download another browser.

I am getting the security notice as well, heave been for weeks. I use IE because 1. it's the fastest browser for my computer, and 2. is supported by a site I use for school that does not support safari. I am not interested in using a different browser just to visit this site. I'm just likely to visit the site less frequently.

When I had a PC I also used IE, but then I learned about other options. I've been using Firefox pretty much ever since. I do have Safari, but use it infrequently. It's like having more than one pair of shoes in your closet.

If it's the browser that's part of the problem, seems an easy fix to use another.

    Still seeing Security Warnings?

    Hi everyone -
Our tech team finally made some updates hoping to alleviate the Security Warning issue. Are you still getting any security notices this morning?

    Thanks for your help!

I'm getting these too, with every click, and have been for about a month. So annoying.

Yes, I'm still getting the security notice at every keystroke, but not having to log in each time... remembers me for a few days and then starts over again. It is also VERY slow to bring up posts. I had questioned earlier if that had always been a SECURE site??? I see that it is a HTTPs:// site and I think that is what is causing me a problem... none of my others BB's secure sites... hope for a quick fix (again)
