I was planning on being really lazy tonight and not cooking at all, but now I want to make calzones but the dough is still frozen.
Are there any quick ways to thaw dough that won't ruin it? I really need tried and true methods here - I'd rather not cook than ruin a good batch of dough!!
Mrs. Reber et al - are you out there??
I have thawed the frozen bread and roll dough this way. Heat oven to lowest setting, and turn off. Boil a few cups of water in a saucepan. Put frozen dough in bowl, and place in oven, top rack. Under bowl on bottom rack, put the pan of boiling water. It keeps dough from drying out, I usually spray dough with pam too. takes about an hour.
