The Olympic Torch went right past my school at 3:50. They stopped right in front of me and exchanged people! It was quite exciting!!!!

That is so cool! I didn't realize they would be in Houston today until I saw it on the news this AM. There's even a ceremony tonight, but I can't remember where...

I know exactly where your school is, that's pretty much the only movie theatre we go to (that one and River Oaks Cinema). I used to work in an elementary school - I miss it!

Wow! I am such an Olympic junkie it's not even funny. Ever since my dad took me to Lake Placid in 1980, I can't get enough of the games.
I was hoping to catch the flame as it passed by the NYC area, but we'll be in Buffalo before Christmas... and it doesn't arrive there until after we're gone. Bummer.
Oh well, I'll still have fun watching the games on tv.

I remember back in '84 when the Olympics were held in LA, I got to see the torch when it passed through my town and it was very exciting. Glad to see that you are feeling better.![]()
Life is all about a$$; you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, behaving like one, or you live with one.

I love the Olympics too.
When they were in LA in '84 I got to see opening ceremonies. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life. The second being the fact that my brother and I knew Rafer Johnson and when he lit the torch at the Coliseum, we about fell out of our seats.
If you ever get a chance to see the Olympics up close and personal, do it - it's a great memory!

I saw the torch when it went through Metro Atlanta in '96. That was so cool. It came through here again last week, but I was unable to leave work.
