I've searched several Dallas area grocery stores for this and am having no luck.
Where do you find the stuff???

I buy miso at Wild Oats. Since I don't believe they have any stores in Dallas, have you tried Whole Foods? I'd think they'd be pretty likely to carry it -- call ahead and see if they do.
Try any ethnic market as well and helth food stores.

Do you have any Chinese or Japanese food stores in your area? In the health food store, you'll find miso in the refrigerated section or near the spices. Good luck!
Hmmm. Whole Foods is sorta far from me, as is Dallas' "China Town".
I think there's a health food store near me, though I don't remember them having a refrigerated section. I'll give it a go tomorrow.
Thanks!

If you can't find them, look here:

I've never bought from them, so I can't vouch for their service, but they look to have a lot of different types of miso. Hope you find what you're looking for!
i can't find LIGHT miso.
i found a miso paste at whole foods in their asian section and it is called "organic gourmet miso paste chili pepper". i like the spice that it has, but it tastes very rich & meaty (beefy) which i don't care for. i want a nice light miso.
???
I couldn't find it either until I was cruising the produce department at a local store owned by Asians! One guy I had asked in the past looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Anyway, that's where I found it since I think the yellow miso has to stay chilled.

I've found miso here at the Safeway. Believe me, if I can find it in Lewiston, ID, I'm sure it's available in Dallas.
The Safeway here has it in the refrigerated produce section along with tofu and other vegetarian items and next to the gourmet lettuces. It's kind of sealed in clear plastic, rather than being in a jar, if I remember correctly.
