I store my pizza stone in the oven and rarely take it out. Well, the other day I went to take it out because I was gonna put a roast in, and it was sitting in there broken! What did I do wrong? Has this happened to anyone else? I'd like to know what I did so that I don't do it again. Thanks!
What brand is it? That can make a difference on what you can do with it and why it may break.

I'm not sure what brand it was...it was a cheapo from Target.
Any chance the oven got turned on broil? I always leave my stone in the oven also, it is a Pampered Chef and I have never had any trouble with it. I have had it at least three years. I know if there are sudden changes in temp i.e. putting fozen foods on a hot stone , they will crack or break. Good luck!
