    "slow food"

Has anyone ever heard of the slow food movement?
    Here is their mission statement:
"Recognizing that the enjoyment of wholesome food is essential to the pursuit of happiness, Slow Food U.S.A. is an educational organization dedicated to stewardship of the land and ecologically sound food production; to the revival of the kitchen and the table as centers of pleasure, culture, and community; to the invigoration and proliferation of regional, seasonal culinary traditions; and to living a slower and more harmonious rhythm of life."

They apparently also have supper clubs.
I'm just curious to see if anyone is or knows anyone
    who is a member.

    I have heard of them.
They have a website but I don't recall it off hand. They may have links on supper clubs....i'll post if I find it.

I am a member. It really something I believe strongly in. They have a great book, also called Slow Food, that really explains their positions well.
