Question Help! Wedding registry in TX or LA??

My DH & I are invited to a wedding in Louisana later this month. I've tried every national chain that I can think of to find a registry, but I only came up with a small list at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. So, I'm guessing they might be registered somewhere else - perhaps at a more local place. They are getting married in Louisiana, but I believe they live in Texas.

Can anyone give me any ideas? Here's what I've checked so far:

    Marshall Fields
    Macy's
    Bloomingdale's
    Nordstrom
    Crate & Barrel
    Williams-Sonoma
    Linens and Things
    Target
    Bed, Bath, and Beyond
    Pottery Barn

    Thanks for your help!

I believe you will find a department store named McRae's that has locations in LA. I'll let you know if I can think of any others.

Oh, and what about Penney's. It's worth a try.

You might want to look them up on www.theknot.com or www.weddingchannel.com because both of those sites list multiple national registries.... just a thought

LL Bean or Lands End Home?

And not sure if Ross-Simons has a national registry, but it's worth a look.

    Try Dillard's and Foley's!

    Good luck!

Rebecca beat me to those, but yes, Ross-Simmons has a registry. When we got married, Foley's had an 800 number and people could order from anywhere. After the wedding and a move to CA, I could still call with questions too. Now, most of these places have websites to check too.

Can you call a friend or relative to find out where they might be registered?

Having worked for Pier 1 way back when it was more of a head shop I find the fact that they do bridal registry a real hoot!

We have one in ATL, I won't buy silver/china anywhere else anymore. Their prices are SO MUCH BETTER that department stores.

Their regular price on my silver (yes, sterling)was over $50 less than the department store's LOWEST SALE PRICE! Actually, close to 1/2 the regular department store price. Honest!!! I've printed off a registry at a department store then gone to Ross-Simon to buy the gift.

Have you checked places like Home Depot or Lowe's? Sounds kinda low rent until you think about it.

I'd say your best bet is just to ask the bride. There are SO many options these days, there's just no telling what she might have chosen to do.
In my old hometown there was a local boutique that ALL the society (and wannabe) brides used to register their china/silver patterns with. The shop would even put up a sample on display with the bride and groom's selections.

Kismet - I think Dillard's would be your best bet. It seems to be the main place for people to register in Louisiana, aside from the smaller stores.

    Thumbs up Found It!

Thanks again! I tried all of the suggestions, and believe it or not, the last one I tried was it! Wal-Mart! Who would have thought!
