AdvoCare - World Class Nutrition

A co-worker of mine is having a party this weekend to sell this AdvoCare stuff. I have never heard of it and really have no idea about what it is. It sounds like something about weight loss, high energy, and vitamins. I am not planing on buying anything, or even going, but I just wanted to know if anyone else was familar with this product. I don't think it is sold in stores, only by people to their friends, so I am worried this might be some kind of cult. Any thoughts?

I don't know anyhing about that product but there is one making the rounds here in Victoria (and probably many other places)called Juice Plus-sounds like the same product. I in no way mean this as a negative but the people I have met selling it are all born again christians-I have no idea if this is just a coincidence. I wouldn't think the people involved are a cult but I'd be careful and listen carefully to the pitch to see if its something you want t get invoved with.

Ugh! I'd avoid it if at all possible. Be prepared for high pressure sales tactics on overpriced products. A woman in my MOMS Club sells the stuff, and she brings it up in every single interaction I have with her . I was drinking a protein shake the other day after working out, and she said "You should drink Advocare shakes - they're better." I flat out told her that I wasn't interested, because they were overpriced and then she told me that I could become a distributer and get it at a discount!!!! Please. It's just another pyramid marketing deal.
