    puppy finally getting surgery!

My baby girl finaly went in for surgery this am.... Vet had her on anti-inflamitories for a while to help her knees before we put her through surgery and she is there today to "face the knife" all by her little tiny self! I couldn't feed her or give her water after 10:00 pm last night and I know she thought I didn't love her this morning when I wouldn't give her her boney bone and a drink.... Bad mommy!

    Hope all goes well!
My little girl just got spayed on Tuesday. She couldn't have food or water after 10 pm the night before also. I felt terrible Tuesday morning when she was looking at me with this why-aren't-you-giving-me-my-morning-treat look. Poor things.

    Go puppy!

I expect to hear from you that the little sweetie came through with flying colors and is doing well! (Will be putting her on the prayer list with that intent).

(They do act as though you're trying to kill them if you don't feed them right on schedule!)

When do you get her back?

I get her back this evening if all goes well. I am praying that will be the case and I am also praying this will be the end of the puddles on the floor! Bye bye bladder stone, bye bye puddles!

    Hang in there Diane!
When she's done she will be so happy to see you she'll forget that it was even you who sent her there in the first place!

Ooh, Diane, I feel for you!!!

I sent my little guy back to Wisconsin with my parents last week. He is very happy to be back in the cool WI weather (the heat of AZ never agreed with him) but I sure do miss the little guy! At least you get yours back tonight....worst case scenario, I don't see mine until Christmas!

Give her an extra hug, a treat, and then pamper her like there's no tomorrow when you get her back!

    Hope all goes well!

    the baby is home!

Kinda whimpy and very snuggly. Vet said she did great and managed to get everyone's attention in the office when ever she felt like she needed some lovin'.She went straight to her house (her kennel) as soon as she came in the door. That is her haven, she knows she is safe there. Won't eat but that is normal, she'll be starving to death by tomorrow. Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm so glad to have her back home again!

    Diane -

So glad she's back! It's great that they decided that she was well enough to do the operation (yes, sounds kinda odd, doesn it?), and great that she had the energy to scoot to 'her' space.

I hope to hear that she continues to improve! She's lucky in her mom!

So glad to hear she's doing well She'll be sore tonight and tomorrow but those will probably be the worst times for her(and really they won't probably be all that bad). Sounds like she'll get lots and lots of TLC and I'm sure she will take advantage of every second of the extra attention
I was just thinking about y'all yesterday and wondering if she had had her surgery yet and I don't check this section of the boards but once or twice per week, so I thought it was kind of serendipitous that today was the day!

I'm glad to hear the pup is doing well!! One thing about it, dogs heal up and feel better much quicker than humans do. Its either that or they can't whine like we can...

Don't overdo it on the food or treats tomorrow, her tummy could be a bit upset from the anestesia (sp?) or meds. Give her a kiss from me!!

Glad to hear your puppy is doing well! It always breaks my heart when I have to send my dogs off to the vet for the day for spaying, teethcleaning, whatever. I usually make DH take them (so he's the bad guy ) and then I pick them up so I can be the hero.

    Hope she's feeling better today!
