For Thanksgiving dinner #2 at the in-laws, I made the Jewish Apple Cake from the poundcake issue (April or May?). It was very tasty and moist and was just enough sweet after a very rich meal. I'll definitely make this again. I was actually going to make the Apple Cider Caramel Cake from the Make It Ahead issue, but it was a bit more involved than this one, and since I didn't start cooking until 9:30 pm after Thanksgiving dinner #1, I decided to go with the Jewish Apple Cake which is pretty similar to the other.
