Mine was here when I returned home on the 16th, but it could have come anytime. This is a good 10 days earlier that my previous copies.

    Sami,
If you got yours, maybe I'll get mine early this month too! Last month, my issue was later than usual. I'll have to check my mailbox tomorrow and see if November has arrived. Finally something to be happy about in Maryland!

Sami - Don't you know it is the worst BB crime to post that you have your new CL and NOT give us some hints as to the contest!!! Yes, my husband thinks we are all nuts to be so anxious to get a cooking magazine (especially when we already have stacks of them), but then he's not a CL junkie!

    going postal ;-)

Every month I'm prowling around the mailbox, trying to look oh-so-non-chalant for the mail person to arrive, hoping that my magazines are there. I get CL <of course> and Martha Stewart Living. MSL came yesterday, happy danced all the way up the driveway, scooted inside and sat down with a cup of tea and devoured the thing. Now I'm patiently <foot tapping> waiting for the November CL, maybe today...you just never know. It's like every month is Christmas and I can't wait to see what recipes are in there!

We call it that "time of the month" in my house.
Life is all about a$$; you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, behaving like one, or you live with one.

MEA CULPA.....my copy is OCtober. I was so befuddled with jet lag that I saw the issue, assumed it was November and with a month of mail piled up didn't look further until last night....so I am betting it will be another week or more before mine comes here. I haven't even looked at the October issue, since there is so much other things to catch up on. Sorry.

And be SURE to try the nut butters recipes! We loved the chicken & pecan cream -- the chicken Pasanda is on tap for tonight, and by the looks of the elements of it that I have prepared so far, it should be wonderful -- living up to all the reviews on the board.

    Enjoy!

I want to try this but only have cashews in the cupboard. Do you think it would be ok to substitute those? If not, it's off to the store I go!

    chelle,

I have made the Chicken with Pecan Cream, and personally, I think the cashews would be terrific in the recipe. Just my humble opinion!!

Has anyone's mail come yet? I'm dying to hear about November, and SOMEONE has to get theirs today.
