    new low-cal food find

There might be a thread on these, but i have just discovered Miss Meringue cookies and they are great. I tried the mini Very Vanilla cookies and the regular-sized Triple Chocolate Chip. I really like the Vanilla ones. Big chocolate lovers will probably like the choc. chip. For 4 mini cookies (which are very sweet, so you don't need too many more), there are approx. 20 cals and no fat for the vanilla. The choc. have some fat b/c there are chips in there. Anyway, try these!

I haven't had these myself but have a friend who is new to Weight Watchers and she loves these cookies. I believe she mentioned that they are on sale at Target this week, too... I will have to try them.

Let's keep this thread going with more low-fat ideas!

I just tried a wasabi salad dressing from Trader Joe's that is very tasty AND it only has 2g fat per 2T serving AND 4 grams of fiber! What salad dressing can claim that? The 2T serving actually comes out to 0 points for WW (although if you up it even a little over that, it will start to show points).

Regarding Trader Joe's and Miss Meringue:

TJ's has a house brand of meringue cookie that seems to be virtually identical to the Miss Meringue brand, in both taste and nutritional makeup -- and, being TJ's, is cheaper.

I like the vanilla and coffee flavors. I tried the lemon once, though, and thought it was dreadful. Lemon seems to be a very difficult flavor to reproduce.

Our founding fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake."
