A click away from WW Online...

Would love to hear from anyone who does WW Online (or has done in the past.) Pros, cons? I'm only a click away!

    Deanna,

Hi there. I love it, but have not been very good about keeping up with it lately! Part of my problem is that I only have another 6 pounds to lose and have sort of lost my weight-loss enthusiasm, so to speak! But with spring rapdily (or should I say, hopefully???) approaching, I think I will be remotivated. Last year, using WW Online helped me to lose over 16 pounds.

I have never been part of WW meetings, but I hear that having the support of a weekly meeting can be better than just doing the online journaling. The only other con I can think of is the lack of emphasis on exercising. It's there, but they don't seem to make it a big deal. But, that's a minor thing for me - I just do what I think is best and go from there.

WW has a very extensive list of food items that are already recorded in their list of foods and this makes it very easy and quick to do your journaling. They also have a way to add your own foods if you don't find what you're looking for or want to add a homemade recipe. I also find the weekly weigh-in and progress charts to be motivating.

Go for it! I don't think you'll be disappointed! Oh, if you do a search, I think there have been other discussions about WW Online on this board.

    Thanks for your response, lindrusso!

I have tried WW at Home in the past, but the journaling and looking up points, and calculating what I had remaining, was a pain in the B.U.T.T.

I'm thinking by doing it online, it will look up the points for me (quicker) and calculate points remaining for the day.

I'll have to push myself as for the exercise. Joined Bally's in 3/00 and haven't been there but about six times since I bought my house in 11/00. Paying my dues every month, but not going! How silly is that?

Deanna, I thought it was great for journaling (I am at a computer all day anyway!) and quickly finding point values. Nothing you can't do without a computer, but having it be THAT easy meant that there were no excuses! Also, there was a chart so that I could see my progress at a glance, and look at journal entries for weeks where there were good losses so that I could try to replicate that.

It hasn't been that great for maintenance, but I don't want to give it up!
We figured there was too much happiness here for just the two of us, so we figured the next logical step was to have us a critter.

For anyone who's interested - WW is running a special - no sign up fee. Heard it this morning (1/28) on TV.

Might be a good excuse to try that route again.
