    Talking YAY! Great News!

You may remember that I posted a thread several weeks ago, asking for prayers for my DH because he had been laid off from his job.

Well, he just called me and he got a job!!!

Its a small firm, same $ and everything, the commute is OK (not super, not horrible). He said he doesn't see himself staying there for the rest of his life, but certainly at least until he's licensed (he's an architect). It sounds like a really nice opportunity for him and he'll get to do some things that he had sort of missed with his previous job.

So, just wanted to say thank you for all of the prayers and well-wishes!

    Yay! Yay! Yay!

As the spouse of a new entrant to the job hunt world, I know how huge this is.

    Hooray!

Congratulations Lara! This is great news!
Life is all about a$$; you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, behaving like one, or you live with one.

I'd wondered recently how the hunt was going....
Yeah!!!! What a relief, eh? AND a decent sounding job! I'm glad he didn't have to take something icky that he knew he wouldn't like. I hope this works for both of you while you need it, and who knows!

Ugh, don't want to think about that right now. I remember when my dad was going through it, I was probably about 8 or so. I remember he had to take tests for 2 days, 8 hours one day 12 hours the next. Now, they split the exams up into sections and you just take them when you're ready.

WOO HOO! That's great news, Lara! I know you are thrilled!
We figured there was too much happiness here for just the two of us, so we figured the next logical step was to have us a critter.

Fantastic!! So glad for both of you!
I was doing recruiting for a while (before I was laid off - natch!) and I can tell you that the "for now" jobs professionals are taking would break your heart. This sounds like a fine situation!
