Terry posted this recipe a couple months back. It is so good! If you like firm, chinese style broccoli in brown sauce you will love this! I did have a chinese theme dinner tonight but I'm sure this veggie would be fine as a side dish for most any dinner. Thanks Terry!

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 C. chicken broth
3 T. sake or rice wine
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. oyster sauce
1 T. cornstarch
2 tsp. sugar
1 T. oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound broccoli crowns, cut into florets (4 C.)
1. Combine the broth, sake or rice wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch and sugar in small bowl, set aside.
2. Heat a nonstick wok or large deep skillet over medium-high heat until a drop of water sizzles. Swirl in the oil, then add the garlic. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 10 seconds. Add the broccoli and stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. (MY NOTE - I steamed the broccoli in the microwave for 3 minutes before assembling the dish. My family doesn't like crisp broccoli. Then I didn't have to stir-fry it for the whole 3 minutes.) Add the broth mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 1 minute.
Points (3/4 C.) 2
I used fish sauce instead of oyster sauce and I didn't have any rice wine but it was still excellent. And I didn't steam the broccoli first. I love it crisp!
