    Glazing kitchen cabinets?

I am looking for a(cheap) way to spruce up the medium oak cabinets in our new home. I read something about glazing them with a white glaze, and was wondering if anyone has done this or has any info on it.

    Thanks!!

I have heard of people having "white-washed" oak, which I think is the same thing. My SIL used to have them, it was very trendy in the early 90's. I think it might tend to look a bit dated these days, but that's JMHO.

Are you talking about pickling or lymed? My cabinets are glazed but not with white but a brown glaze. I have pickled/lymed bedroom furniture and really thought I would do that in the kitchen until I saw this method in Southern Living about 3 years ago.
