    It's raining...It's pouring

It has rained all but 5 days since June 13th. And it rained most of June! As I sit here at my computer and listen to it pouring rain outside, I wonder...... WHY ME?

I feel for ya! My parents live in VA and have been feeling the same blahs. My mom is mad because many of her plantings, including her basil, have simply drowned from all the rain.

Here in NE IN, we've actually been dry. But the last few days some areas have been hit with as much as 7 inches of rain in one day and it just keeps coming. So, we're beginning to get a taste of what you all have had, but not nearly as much or for as long.

Here's to hoping your downpour ends! I'm among those who feel depressed with too many cloudy, rainy days, so I'm sure I'd be going bonkers!

    I also feel your pain

It seemed like it rained all of May and June around here. But recently we've had quite a nice break - so there is some hope for you yet! We were down the shore this weekend, where the weather was perfect, but it rained here at home the past two nights. It's nice here today, but the forecast is forever calling for more rain, and I just keep hoping that the storms get pushed away.

Send it my way! My garden needs a drink, and I'm already tired of getting the sprinkler out.
"Is ice hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me. We need to have the strength and power of a football player, the stamina of a marathon runner and the concentration of a brain surgeon. But, we need to put all this together while moving at high speeds on a cold and slippery surface while 5 other guys use clubs to try and kill us. Oh, yeah, did I mention that this whole time we're standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick. Is ice hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me. Next question."

We have had storm after storm here in NW In. I have been up since 1:30 a.m. and it is now 8:35 p.m., plus I am taking a class this week that goes for 8 hours a day and I am exhausted. We lost power this a.m. and DH had to bail out the sump pumps with a 5 gallon bucket. DD1 and Family are staying with DS and his family and they have been without power since 10 a.m. DD1 and her family are coming to stay the night because without electricity there is no water and that means you don't flush the toilets and you suffer in the heat. Oh, this should be a fun night. Their power might be restored by noon on Tuesday. This is the third time 4 weeks that we have been without electricity. And here they are !! Got to go.

We have not had any rain since Saturday night, when we had a torrential rain! Three warm glorious days without rain! I spent the afternoon in the pool and finally feel refreshed for the first time this summer!

Well, down here in TX, we finally got some rain in June and early July, but we were still better than 10 inches behind for the year. Given that, I hate to complain, but after spending 3 weeks getting my house repaired, cleaned up and spruced up to better than ever status (and not without our share of problems) did a hurricane have to move on shore earlier than expected and send rain our way from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm today -- when the realtors' tour was scheduled from 10-2:00??? My mood has been a bit damp today.

Seeing that I killed the thread didn't help. Next time I'll bite my tongue. BTW, it just started raining again here.

Beth, we all kill threads from time to time. I did a search on all the threads i have commented on and I killed about 1/3rd. of them!
Do a search engine on any user and you will see how many times that user posted the last reply!

Terry, I didn't think we were supposed to get rain today -- the moon was out last night and I thought we were past the clouds and rain. We do need the rain, but I don't think we are getting as much up here as you may be getting if you live in town or to the south. We had 2-3 inches yesterday over about a 4 hour period and then none until just a while ago. It's been raining off and on now for a couple of hours. Guess I didn't need to add water to the pool Monday.

Joyce, I didn't realize you could see how many times you've actually killed a thread. I'd rather not think about it. I think I went through a period where it seemed like I killed most of the threads I replied to -- and then was surprised when someone else posted the Typhoid Mary thread! Not sulking, but a bit frustrated about the timing yesterday.
