    Hi all!!!!!!!

Mary Kate and I are sitting on my deck, just having gotten back from the GREAT BIG SEA CONCERT!!!!!! We've decided that you all suck for not being there (except Sarah, who we couldn't find, but we did try, yelling out "Sarah?" at random intervals.) And no, we aren't drunk. Nor were we. Well, not really.

Peggy - it's not too late to join us for brunch!

But, we need to put all this together while moving at high speeds on a cold and slippery surface while 5 other guys use clubs to try and kill us. Oh, yeah, did I mention that this whole time we're standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick. Is ice hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me. Next question."

Klatch was great - it was nice to finally put faces to names. The concert was AWESOME. I was tempted to drive up to Owen Sound for last night's concert too! They are in VT tonight with Nickel Creek. *sigh* I'd love to be there, too.

The concert was SO much fun. Gorgeous night, nearly-full moon, and a good crowd, too. It was outside, so it wasn't a cramped, smoky, sticky-beer floor ... it was green grass, fresh air (albeit sometimes smelling faintly of pot), and awesome music.

Did I mention the band is HOT?

Nod nod, you didn't know that ahead of time? I've seen them a couple of times (at the Odeon MK) and they are mighty fine!

Okay, you guys all have piqued my curiosity. I'm going to look around for their CD's. Any recommendations? Or are they all good?

Ok I am so jelous because Great Big Sea isn't coming anywhere near DC this year and so this will be the first summer since I found out about them I won't be attending one of their concerts at Wolf Trap Park for the Preforming Arts. You all are so lucky.

    Jas

Sandy -- they are all good but my favorite is probably "Rant and Roar"

I can't believe there are other people out there who like GBS. I have ONE friend here who likes them and the rest mock us relentlessly. I have only been to two shows, but they are the most fun EVER!!!!!!

Sandy - If you like live albums, I'd suggest Road Rage. I'll make a copy for you, if you'd like to try it. Most of their CDs can be hard to find in the States.

Peggy - you were missed at the klatch! We did have a good time though. I just couldn't believe that 3:00 PM came around so quickly!

    Bethany was a wonderful hostess!

Hey, as long as I'm burning! I'm hoping the band will be in TO this fall. Anyone fancy a trip?

Hmmm quite possibly. Ya know I love 'em. Maybe I should change my signature line back to the lyrics I had for awhile.
