Talking The most amazing experience on my trip!!!

I flew into Greensboro NC and my best friend picked me up. We then drove to Boone NC to meet my mom for a few days.

Thursday nite after we came back from dinner, Allie came out of the bathroom and sat on the couch in the hotel room in a daze. She had taken a pg test and it was POSITIVE!!!

    A little background:

SHe was trying to get pg a few years ago. It wasnt working then thry discovered she wasnt ovulating. THEN her 26 yr old DH got colon cancer. Well, now he is ok and they were trying again.

I was SOOOO excited she did this with me!!! It was the most exciting part of the trip!! We went BACK to Walmart to buy another test. She took a total of 4 before she really believed it!!!

    Me, too, Val.

How wonderful that your friend's life has turned in around in so many important ways! Talk about a new beginning!
(thought for a minute there that you were going to be a new big sister, though )

Same! I was pretty surprised your mom was pregnant... and had a 26-year-old DH!

Great news for your friend and her hubby, though! I hope all goes well.

    Kim,

omg, now I see your best friend was the one who is pregnant, not your mom! hahaha. LOL.

it is just that you and I are the same age, and I was trying to imagine what it would be like if grandma maizeyoats got married to a 26 year old and then got pregnant.

    Me too.

How is Boone. I've heard it's nice, but I've never been there. A lot of people from South Florida have vacation houses there.

Oh that's so nice! My BIL and SIL got the news they were having my nephew right in my kitchen (by calling their Dr's office for results of a pregnancy test not by using one of the kits! ) after we'd all gone to the movies together. I took their picture kissing and congratulating each other. Of course, my nephew is now a 7 year old (lovable) pain the a$$! Congratulations and best wishes to your friend and her husband.
