Red face ? for pet owners............

Has this ever happened to you????

You're in the process of plopping some quick bread batter into a loaf pan (or insert any other type of food substance and pan), when you realize that there is a cat or dog hair in the bottom of the pan....but it's too late to do anything about it, because the batter has already hit the bottom of the pan.

    Just wondering...no reason, really....

It has never happened to me (that I know of ) but if it is just DH and I, I'd probably bake and eat it and be careful...
    if company, I'd toss it...
living in a house with pets, you no doubt have gotten more pet hair than you realize

Oh, I'm not tossing it! I mean....I wouldn't if it happened to me...since it's not for company or anything.

At one point in time growing up we had 8 cats and 2 dogs. I learned to breathe pet hair.

    I'd eat it.

I have a dog that doesn't shed and a cat who spends most of his time outside. The biggest hair problem is actually my hair . Just yesterday, I made CL's lemon squares. I opened the oven to check on them and I saw a hair lying right on top! Yikes! I pulled it out before DH saw it. Hey, it's clean!

I have 2 cats -- the vet calls one a medium hair and one a long hair, but I think the difference is more in quantity than length. If a hair makes it to my mouth and I notice it, at least I can pull it out.

What drives me batty is when I pet the thicker furred one and get a hair in my eye or eyelashes and can't seem to get rid of it.

DBF's family has a dog and 5 cats. Hair in food happens all the time there. His brother has even said he'd rather find an animal hair than a human hair - but I'm not so sure about that one
