Need suggestions for d ry feet dry while in water

My mother has bad-awful feet. she gets bandaged monthly at a podiatrist. she used to buy rubber booties to put on to keep her feet reasonably dry while in the shower but the company went out of business. so she has been making do with rubber gloves. she recently was treated for vertigo & the therapist wants her to exercise in a pool, but the water will soak her bandages off. she says she won't be able to walk if the bandages come off, so this is not alternative.

Does anyone know of any product that would be useful? I've thought of scuba gear but don't know if this would keep her feet dry. I'm assuming something helpful in the shower wouldn't be adequate for a swimming pool, but gotta start somewhere!.

Editing to say I didn't get this because my daughter is only 3 1/2 and they didn't have her size. Also, she was only in her cast 4 weeks, so the cost wasn't worth it for me, however, it sounds like your mother would be using this quite a bit, so it might be worth it for her.

We bought a pair of these http://www.sealskinz.com/ for my dad one year for fishing, etc. Unfortunately his feet were too big, but he said that if they had been the right size, it seemed like they would have worked really well.

Did her therapist have any suggestions? I think you're right that stuff designed just to be water repellant enough for the shower probably won't cut it in the pool.

Gilgamesh, the problem would be water running down the leg into the top of the sock. these would be great for sports but I think she needs something intended to keep casts or bandages dry. she has wrestled with plastic bags and duct tape & water comes in from the top.

Shirley, thank you! I just visited the web site & printed up most of it to mail my mother.
It looks simple too. I am amazed that none of the health care people she sees are aware of this.
she has been doing plastic bags & duct tape & it occurred to me this CAN'T be that uncommon a problem. This will make it possible for her to take a shower easily, and get her into a water therapy program that she needs badly. getting her feet wet was always the main excuse for not doing it.
I also came across another cheaper product that would work for the shower but not for going in a pool.
