strange question about Soy?

A friend was asking me if cats can drink soy since it is not really cows milk. I said i dont know i would ask you guys. does anyone know the answer.

I don't think my cat has any interest in trying it. Granted, I usually buy vanilla soy milk. The sweet smell might put him off.

Although, he has been known to scarf up soy bologna scraps

I never tried giving any of my cats soy milk, tho' they have lapped up some non-dairy creamer... I don't know why it would be any different to (or for) them than cow's milk, since that's not normally something they would get "out in the wild", either, and is not something they would need nutritionally.
