Friday sale at Amazon - OXO Salad Spinner

Not too long ago, there was a discussion on salad spinners in here. Amazon has the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner on sale for $19.99. (I think it said the regular price was $30 or 35.)

There are also lots of Calphalon items today if anyone is interested.

What do you guys think about that pan? Should I go for it????

kima, is a 2.5 saucepan big enough? Or do you not have a saucepan that size? If you don't have one, I'd say go for it - it's a useful size and the shallow aspect is nice. But if you do have a 2.5 qt already, I'd go for a slightly bigger one (like a 3 or 3.5 qt)

That's the question I am rassling with! It seems a little small but I like the short sides. I just have to think what I would use it for....
I do have a regular saucepan that size. Well if in doubt I should pass it up I think.

Maureen, I bought that same saucepan in the store a couple of years ago for that price. It's one of those "promotional items" that is on sale very often. If you choose not to get it today, it will always be back on at a later date.

Well I was going to go check the friday sale out after coming here but seen this and had to leave here and go order some things. I have been wanting a salad spinner so I got the OXO. I hope I am going to be happy with it. Decided since I seen it there that I would go ahead and order the accessory kit for it too. Also got another exopat, the calphalon pan(my first piece)and another microplane.
