Caramelized oinion, fig and blue cheese strudel CL 97annual-I have a question

I am making this in the next day or two and I have 2 questions...first...has anyone made this? I searched for a review and could not find one. It sounds delicious and I would love to hear from someone who has made it.

Second...can I prepare the strudel ahead and refrigerate it? It is being made with Phyllo dough so I don't know if I can make it earlier in the day and keep it in the fridge.

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

    Adrianna,
It was a long time ago that I made this, so I can't quite remember it -- but here are the notes I included with the recipe:

"Good, sweet... sharpness of blue cheese and sweetness of fig very good. I’d make it again. Looks very impressive. It is also good cold."

    Hope this helps!!

Dianne-Thank you for bumping up my thread!

Luika-You are so smart to write mini reviews of what recipes you have tried. Thanks for sharing. I am still wondering if I can make it ahead and put it in the fridge. I know Phyllo dries out easily so I would wrap it with plastic wrap. I think I am going to try it (I will make it this afternoon) and see if it can hang out in the fridge for a few hours. It will just be myself and DH at dinner so if it isn't perfect it is not a tragedy! I want to try it out though, because I love the idea of this combo of flavors and would love to serve it at my next dinner party. I am just one of those people who likes "make ahead" recipes for dinner parties.

    Thanks again!

    Adrianna,
Not only do I write a mini-review of recipes I've tried, I also note who we had to dinner (if applicable); and if it is a recipe I would make again.

I often jot down names of people I think would also like it. This last note makes it easy to find an appropriate recipe on a future occasion when we invite these friends for dinner. Call me analytical!
