How do I thread a Singer 606 Bobbin???

I just purchased a used Singer Touch & Sew Model 606 sewing machine. I've got lots of experience with sewing machines, but never saw one that has a bobbin that gets filled in the machine.

Some of the 600 series machines have a silver button on the right side of the machine that you can push to fill the bobbin. This one doesn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Nefertete

Need some more info...by "in" the machine, do you mean the bobbin threads in the same compartment where it is when you are sewing? My machine has a little rod on the top right where the bobbin sits when it is filling.

I don't know anything about how to thread the bobbin, but I want congratulate you for being quoted in Bulletin Board Buzz in the latest issue.

The bobbin in my Singer Touch and Sew machine fills in the same place where it is when I sew. The model looks like 750 something (sorry, it's packed away and I could barely make the number out) This machine is ANCIENT--probably 30 or more years old.

If you think yours is like this one, and you want detailed directions, let me know and I'll PM them to you.

Thanks so much, folks, for all the responses.

I'm gonna check out those links, Shirley. I hadn't yet found them in my web searches. Thanks.

Hey, Meganator, thanks for asking for specifics on where the bobbin winds. Mine winds right there in place where it's put for sewing. I'm accustomed to the kind you have - where the rod sits on top. This one is a 'ya don't have ta take out the bobbin ta fill it' type.

And, Shar, thanks for the offer. I think I might just have discovered how to do it, but instructions would be nicer to have, if you have them to share.

Hey, Clover. Thanks for the congratulations. I haven't seen the latest issue. Geesh, I gotta get it. What'd I say?

    Thanks, Clover!
It sure was a nice feeling to have been quoted. I appreciate you telling me about it. I ran out and bought a copy from the store.

    Hey Shirley,
Thank you so much for the URL's. They gave me exactly what I needed!

You will have to visit singer.com and search for the instruction manual singer 625 which is same manual for 606. I had a similar trouble but after an extensive search, i stumble on this 625.
