Do Lemon Bars need to be refrigerated, or can they be left at room temperature? They are for a morning meeting at school tomorrow. I decided to try the Barefoot Contessa's recipe. Has anyone made these before; what did you think?

The are fully cooked and are fine at room temperature.
I thought of another question--Is the consistency similar to Lemon Meringue Pie?
I made the CL Lemon Bars last year, and I wouldn't describe it is being like lemon meringue pie...maybe a little bit, but denser if I remember correctly. I LOOOVE Lemon Bars (and highly recommend the CL recipe, super lemony)!!
..the bars smell wonderful! I can't wait to give these a try. I love lemon anything! I've been following the lemon desserts thread with great interest.
Thanks for the response Shumanata--after tasting these tomorrow--if they're a hit, the CL recipe will be the next lemon bar recipe I'll try.
