ISO: a dish that's simple and sophisticated

I feel like eating like an adult this weekend. I'll break out the red wine and put on a jazz CD. What to eat? What to eat? Any suggestions? Maybe I'll try the Devilled Crab in Beurre Blanc from a while back. Or maybe something with mussels.

My adult meals either include seafood (scallops, shrimp, maybe salmon) or lamb since the boys don't care for either type of food. This week I had a frozen chipotle-lime shrimp thing from Whole Foods, Sun-dried Tomato Shrimp with Lemon, and Australian Lamb Chops from Trader Joes. Went out with friends Sunday and last night (had salmon both nights). Haven't figured out tonight's plan yet...hmmm maybe lamb again?

The boys come home tomorrow...back to "normal" foods

There was a recipe I tried a few years ago with flank stea, red wine reduction sauce and three kinds of mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. Maybe I'll try that.
