    Mango Margaritas

Okay, so I'm on a margarita binge. I read somewhere on the boards of someone who made Mango Margaritas. Would you please post the recipe or link to where I can find it?

    thanx.

I do a frozen mango margarita as follows:

1/2 ripe Mango (I prefer the yellow "champagne" mangos to the red blush ones)
1/3 to 1/2 can of frozen Limeaide
    Ice (enough to fill blender)
    4-6 oz Tequilla
2-3 oz Triple Sec or Gran Marnier

Place all ingredients, in the order shown, in blender and blend until smooth. Yum!

I've gotten reputation in the neighborhood for Mango Margaritas. LauraBL posted them here last spring/summer but I haven't seen her around in a long time.

    Here's her recipe.

1 1/2 cups chopped fresh mango (about 2 medium)
    6 oz frozen limeade
    1 cup tequila
    1/4 cup triple sec

fill blender with ice and blend until smooth.

    Makes 6.

Where have you all been finding limeade? I needed it for a Frozen Mojito Slush recipe I made a few weeks ago and couldn't find that or lime sorbet.

I find it in the frozen juice section in my supermarket. Near the cans of frozen concentrated OJ and Apple Juice. The only brand I ever see is MinuteMaid, like the MinuteMaid frozen Lemonaide concentrate, only the can is green.

I posted this one a while back too. It's seriously potent. Enjoy!

    Mango Margaritas

1 jar sliced mangoes (26 ounce) undrained
    sugar (to rim the glasses)
1 can frozen limeade concentrate (6 ounce) thawed and undiluted
    1 cup gold tequila
    cup Triple Sec or Cointreau
    cup Grand Marnier
    crushed ice

    1. Spoon 3 tablespoons mango liquid into a saucer; pour mangoes and remaining liquid into container of electric blender

    2. Place sugar in a separate saucer; dip rims of glasses into mango liquid, and then sugar. Set aside

    3. Add limeade concentrate and next 3 ingredients to blender container; process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.

    4. Pour half of the mixture into a small pitcher and set aside

    5. Add ice to remaining mixture in blender to bring it to a 5-cup level; process until slushy, stopping to scrape down the sides. Pour into prepared glasses; repeat with remaining mango mixture and ice. Serve immediately. Yield: 10 cups

I've been posting a lot lately on how much I am loving the Mango Margaritas. The recipe I've been using is rosie_one's. I've made them for 2 parties and they were a total hit at both. YUM!!! I buy the big jars of sliced mangoes at Costco and use it for 2 batches of her recipe. I even went out and bought margarita glasses for the second party since I know I'll be making these a LOT!
