Thread: My favorite dessert.

    My favorite dessert.

Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream. But I only had the tiniest slice because I lost 10 lbs since I started my died 4 weeks ago.

Winning without honor is like an unseasoned dish - it fills you up but it doesn't taste good.

Congrats on the ten pounds - that's awesome! For a lighter version of pumpkin pie, try the Pumpkin Creamcheese Tart in the CL recipe finder - it's a pretty good light version.

One favorite dessert -- let's see, I go through phases and I think that I am actually still searching for the perfect (but light) dessert. However, usually any kind of bread pudding does it for me. White Russian Tiramisu is also pretty darn good. And pie, lots and lots of pie.

That being said, I'm going through sort of a cobbler/crisp phase right now.

Oh heck, I like it all!

I'll check out that recipe from CL. Sounds good. I've been downloading some great recipes from there (at least I hope they're great). Thanks for the hint!

Pumpkin pie -- my favorite dessert too.

You know how it has to be YOUR pumpkin pie recipe before it satisfies? When I saw the Pumpkin Custard recipe on here yesterday, I thought why not do the same with my fave pumpkin pie filling? And so I did make my filling for one pie, put it in 8 6-oz custard dishes in hot water at 350 degrees, and they were done in 60 minutes. Add a tablespoon or two of fat-free Cool Whip and it still comes in at about 160 calories, and 1 gram of saturated fat. I was pleased (not as giddy as I could have been with a real piece of pie and real whipped cream, but pleased anyway).

I'm not a big fan of pumpkin pie. However, I have no problem with pumpkin cheesecake! Cheesecake is definitely one of my favourite desserts!

How can anyone choose a specific favorite dessert!? I must admit that some I really, really like but I keep coming up with a new one and that becomes the one I like best until I try another one and then whoops theres a new one! I do find some of my best new favorites on this BB! I am not sure if I should thank you for keeping me in a constant state of change....

I have many favorite homemade dessert but my favorite ready made dessert is Kozy Schack Rice Pudding. That stuff is awesome, except the fat and cholestrol, which i have to watch. If I could find a low fat version of that, that would be heaven.

Hey, eat and enjoy. According to the Kozy Shack website, ½ cup of Kozy Shack Original Rice has the following nutritional values:
130 calories, 3 grams fat, 20 mg cholesterol, 22 mg carbs and 4 g protein. That's a mere 23% fat -- five or even ten percent lower than the average Cooking Light dessert these days. Practically health food.

I'm a big cheesecake fan, too...but it's a tough choice between cheesecake and rhubarb pie. Will have to ponder.
